Slider-Cinch Waistband

The Slider-Cinch waistband enables you to adjust the carrier to fit from the newborn stage all the way to toddlerhood. It allows for quick adjustments, even as your little one sits in the carrier, no need to fiddle with snaps, buckles or zips!

Padded Shoulder Straps & Waistband

Crossed or Rucksack Style Straps

For super comfortably front carries the Bairn has been designed so you can cross the straps at your back for even weight distribution. It also comes with a Chest Clip if you prefer straight (rucksack style) straps and the Clip is also great for a more comfortably back carry.

Hood

The hood is handy to support baby’s head when they fall asleep. It is made in the same soft, beautiful fabrics as the carrier.

Colour Matched Webbing & Webbing Tidies

Webbing is matched with the woven sling fabric, unlike most buckle carriers, this adds to the aesthetics. You can also find small elastic loops at the end of the webbing so you can roll it and secure with the loops to tidy it away.

Ergonomic Position

The Bairn ensures an optimal hip position for your little one. It will hold your child in the ‘M’ position, supporting from knee-pit to knee-pit. Using the Slider-Cinch waistband you can adjust the body panel for the perfect width for tiny babies or bigger kids.

Bairn Accessories

Strap Protectors

Strap protectors fasten around the shoulder straps to protect them from little mouths and extend the life of your carrier. These are sold separately.

Supported Breastfeeding

You can easily use the Bairn to lend a support during nursing, check out the video below.

Always ensure your baby’s head is supported by your hand during nursing, not the fabric of the carrier so that they can latch on and off freely. Ensure their nose is free and clear without any fabric, clothing or breast tissue over their airway. Always return your baby to the full upright position after breastfeeding.

What is a Full Buckle Carrier?

A Full Buckle Carrier typically has a waist belt and shoulder straps with buckles to secure each section and a ‘body panel’ to seat your baby in. There is often a ‘chest strap’, which is either used to draw the straps together at your back when carrying your baby on your front, or used across your upper chest if you are carrying your baby on your back.
