Tindm, an Elvish (Quenya) word for twilight of dawn, is woven on a fade of cool blues and purples with the Ancients picked out in a delicately, soft silver. Woven from a combination of organic combed cotton and Cashwool this shawl is wonderfully light and beautifully cushy: it is silky soft, with absolutely no hint of prickle.
The trees in this pattern each represent part of the lineage of White Trees. The original White Tree was much beloved by the Elves. It emanated silver light, and it is said the Moon was formed from its last silver flower. Each tree thereafter is seen to symbolise divine qualities of goodness, wisdom and purity. Each tree, Celeborn, Nimloth & the White Tree of Gondor, is named in flowing Elvish on this gorgeous shawl.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS: Hand washing is recommended, although a wool cycle on a known reliable machine may be used at your own risk. Use a suitable wool detergent. Lay flat to dry and iron on a cool setting.
