As you may have seen I was able to test out the upcoming new oscha release of “constellation 88”. I received this cotton/linen wrap in a size 7, and have had a chance to use it fairly extensively over the last few days. This is a gorgeous, stunning, slightly shimmery fade of blues. Simply Beautiful. Much more blue and less teal than I had expected TBH, but was very pleasantly surprised. It was also very thin in hand, which I wasn’t expecting either given the gsm. Due to this, I feel it wraps very long, which was nice for fancy finishes, and dramatic long tails. The thinner nature means it also ties very easily and snugs up on my babe well. It tends to have more glide than grip, so careful tightening is needed. The first time I wore it, I honestly wasn’t a huge fan. I found it to be a bit diggy, and my back got sore after a bit. However, I know linen need to break in, so I had at it! I ran it through crib bars, slept on it, and wrapped. A lot. My 9mo babe, my 2yo toddler, and my 5 yo, All went up, in a wide variety of carries. And it paid off! Today (three days in) I enjoyed wrapping with it much more, and feel that there is still quite a bit of breaking in to be done and it will continue getting even better!Despite feeling and wrapping “thin”, it felt very supportive, even for my bigger kids, in multi pass Carries. Because it is lighter, I wouldn’t want to use it for a ruck with one of bigger kids, but on the other hand, this also makes it great for a squish!Bottom line: The linen of this wrap takes some breaking in, but really seems to add support and strength while keeping it thin in hand and cool to wear. The colors and pattern are stunning shades of blue that I think would compliment any outfit. I feel this is good for small babes in any carry and bigger kids with multi pass carries.
